The church at the village of Feiring overlooks Lake Mjosa. This is the church where Hans and his ancestors were baptized, confirmed, and married.
The following observations were recorded by Len after visiting this church in 1997:
Lutheran is the state religion in Norway. All the records of baptism, confirmation, marriage, and burial are kept at the church. Old records, however, are archived at a central place and are not available at the local church. Also, gravestones that are old are removed and used to build the stone fence around the cemetery. Arlene and I visited three churches which our ancestors had attended.
